The
**Procurement & Tendering Manager**
will oversee the procurement process for
**main contractors**
in construction projects. Must have a strong background in
**construction procurement**
, an in-depth understanding of
**FIDIC contracts**
, and the ability to manage the entire tendering and contract award process efficiently.

**Key Accountabilities:**

- Develop and implement procurement strategies for hiring main contractors while ensuring alignment with project goals and budgets.
- Lead the entire procurement process, including prequalification, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with FIDIC contract conditions and local regulations.
- Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, and tender documents for contractor selection.
- Evaluate and negotiate contract terms, pricing, and payment conditions with contractors.
- Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and cost consultants to ensure smooth contract execution.
- Conduct market research to identify potential contractors and suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and high-quality service.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and key stakeholders.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with contract terms, timelines, and quality standards.
- Identify risks in procurement processes and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure procurement records are properly documented and maintained for audits and reporting purposes.

**Qualification requirements**

- **Bachelor’s degree**
in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- **8+ years**
of experience in procurement, with a strong focus on
**main contractor selection and contract management**
.
- Proven experience working with
**FIDIC contracts**
and other industry-standard procurement frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of
**construction supply chain management, tendering processes, and contract negotiations**
.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong understanding of
**cost control, budgeting, and risk management**
in procurement.
- Experience in managing procurement for
**large-scale infrastructure, commercial, or residential construction projects**
.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in
**Microsoft Office, procurement software, and ERP systems**
.
- **Professional certifications**
such as
**CIPS, PMP, or a relevant contract management certification**
are an advantage.
