On behalf of our esteemed client, One Macedonia Telecommunications, a newly established telecommunications company backed by the regional investment group 4iG, we are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and highly motivated Accounting & Tax and Treasury Specialist.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting controls, tax compliance, and treasury management, with the ability to ensure financial accuracy, regulatory compliance, and effective liquidity management. Experience within the telecommunications industry will be considered an advantage, but is not mandatory.
**Description**
Accounting control and account mapping:
- Maintain and optimize the internal Chart of Accounts
- Ensure correct account mapping between external Group Chart of Accounts and operational systems used by service providers
- Review of monthly and quarterly financial statements delivered by the external provider
- Validate external payroll calculation and reports prior to final approval
Tax compliance
- Review VAT, corporate income tax, and global minimum tax obligation returns prepared by external providers
- Adress industry-specific tax issues, including leases, digital service taxes and withholding tax returns
- Monitors updates in local tax legislation and supporting external auditors and tax authorities during regular corporate audits
Treasury management
- Manages liquidity, daily cash position, and short-term liquidity forecasting
- Execute vendor payment authorization and approvals
- Manages currency exposure to foreign exchange and loans facility management
**Requirements**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Licensed Accountant
- Advanced / negotiation-level proficiency in English.
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, taxation, treasury, financial reporting, or related finance functions.
- Strong understanding of local GAAP, chart of accounts structures, account mapping, and corporate tax regulations.
- General IFRS literacy and ability to interpret financial statements and reporting requirements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
- Experience working with external accounting, payroll, tax, and audit service providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of the structural impact of chart of accounts and account mapping changes.
- Ability to identify, investigate, and resolve complex financial data discrepancies
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to streamline data exchange between internal systems and external service providers.
