- 7+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering
- Deep knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
- Solid understanding and hands-on application of design patterns
- Practical experience with testing practices – unit and integration
- Proficiency with tools such as JUnit, Mockito, and TestContainers
- Strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and event-driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, ActiveMQ)
- Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases
- Excellent communication skills – able to clearly articulate challenges and technical decisions
- Strong team player, collaborative mindset, and proactive attitude
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to investigate and resolve production issues
- Highly responsible when working on sensitive, payment-related functionality
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience with reactive programming (e.g., Project Reactor, WebFlux)
- Hands-on knowledge of MongoDB or other NoSQL technologies
- Deeper experience with event-driven systems and message brokers

- Conduct structured, constructive code reviews with a focus on quality and system impact
- Collaborate with team members to establish and uphold development standards
- Take end-to-end ownership of feature delivery and system design

- Keep documentation up to date and accessible
- Participate in hiring by leading technical interviews and reviewing coding challenges
