**About FileRun**

FileRun is a self-hosted file sharing application for teams. Our customers install it on their own server, so their files stay with them and no one else can reach them.
Companies, non-profit organizations and home users have used it since 2003.

We are a small, independent European company with offices in Madeira (Portugal) and Tirana (Albania). We have worked on one product for more than 20 years, without outside investors.

**The role**

Our customers use FileRun through desktop apps for Windows, macOS and Linux, and through mobile apps for iOS and Android. These apps are based on the open-source Nextcloud apps. Many customers would like to have them with their own name and logo.

You will be responsible for these apps. Your job is to make sure that they build correctly, stay up to date and are released on all five platforms. The work is practical and varied, and our customers use what you release.

**What you will do**

• Build, sign and package the desktop sync app for Windows (.msi), macOS (.pkg) and Linux (AppImage).

• Build and publish the Android and iOS apps. This includes signing them and sending them to the app stores.

• Create versions of the desktop and mobile apps with the customer's own name and logo (white-label apps).

• Follow the open-source projects that our apps are based on, add their updates to our apps, and make sure that our own changes still work.

• Fix bugs in the apps, and fix problems in how they connect to FileRun: REST API, WebDAV and sign-in (app passwords, OAuth2, passkeys).

**What we are looking for**

• Good programming skills in both C++ and Java. You can read and change code that other people wrote.

• Basic experience building apps for different platforms: Mac, Windows, iOS and Android.

• Basic experience with Kotlin and Swift.

• Experience with an existing open-source project, for example maintaining a fork or contributing changes.

• Knowledge of WebDAV.

• You can work independently and carefully in a remote team, and you test your work before you release it.

• Good spoken and written English.

**It is a plus if you have**

• Experience with Qt, and with CMake, Gradle or Xcode.

• Experience with code signing and publishing apps: Windows signing, Apple notarization, App Store and Google Play.

• Basic web knowledge: HTTP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

**What we offer**

• Fully remote work with flexible hours.

• Part-time or full-time work, depending on your skills and availability.

• Flexibility in the contract terms, which we discuss individually.

• A stable company with more than 20 years of history. We finance ourselves and have no outside investors.

• A small team where your work has a direct effect: every customer uses it.

• Variety: one role that covers desktop and mobile apps on five platforms.

**How to apply**

Send your CV to info@filerun.com. Please also write a few sentences about the apps you have built and released, and for which platforms. You can add links to your code or to your open-source contributions.
