We are seeking an experienced Carrier Sales Broker to join our team in Skopje and help expand our carrier network, secure capacity, and provide exceptional service to our customers.
Position Summary
The Carrier Sales Broker will be responsible for sourcing and negotiating truck capacity, developing relationships with carriers, managing freight movements, and ensuring on-time service for our customers. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, results-driven, and experienced in freight brokerage and carrier sales.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Source and secure truck capacity for customer freight.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and owner-operators.
- Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profitability while maintaining service levels.
- Manage freight from pickup through delivery and proactively resolve service issues.
- Monitor market conditions and carrier availability.
- Track and update load statuses in the transportation management system (TMS).
- Verify carrier compliance, insurance, safety ratings, and onboarding requirements.
- Identify and prevent potential fraud, double brokering, and carrier-related risks.
- Collaborate with customer sales representatives and operations teams.
- Provide accurate and timely communication to customers and carriers.
- Develop new carrier relationships and expand the company’s carrier network.
- Meet and exceed weekly and monthly performance goals.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of the North American trucking industry.
- Experience using load boards such as DAT, Truckstop, and carrier onboarding platforms.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation software systems.
- Fluent English required (written and verbal).
