The Airline Business Development Expert supports Tirana International Airport’s network growth strategy by developing strong relationships with legacy carriers and low-cost airlines, identifying market opportunities, and supporting the launch of new routes and increased frequencies. The role contributes to strengthening TIA’s position as a strategic aviation hub in the region through airline partnerships, market analysis, and participation in international aviation events and forums.
**Core Responsibilities**
**Airline Relationship Management**
- Develop and manage relationships with legacy airlines and low-cost carriers.
- Act as the main contact point for assigned airline partners.
- Ensure strong collaboration and service satisfaction with airline stakeholders.
**Route Development & Market Analysis**
- Support the planning and development of new routes based on market demand and traffic forecasts.
- Identify growth opportunities in existing and emerging markets.
- Provide market insights and data analysis to support route and capacity planning.
**Commercial Development & Negotiation**
- Assist in commercial negotiations and partnership discussions with airlines.
- Support the development of incentive schemes and business cases for new routes and frequencies.
- Contribute to promotional initiatives aimed at strengthening TIA’s airline network.
**Industry Representation & Networking**
- Represent TIA at international aviation events, conferences, and trade fairs.
- Promote TIA as a preferred hub for passenger and airline operations.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships within the aviation industry.
**Qualifications**
- 2–3+ years of professional experience in airline business development, route planning, or aviation management.
- Experience in relationship management with legacy carriers and low-cost airlines.
- Strong knowledge of airline network planning and route development.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation, Economics, or a related field.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are considered an advantage.
- Passion for aviation and strategic business development.
