As a Cash Application Specialist, you will primarily be responsible for reconciling payments received and reaching out to customers for cash applications instructions. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, able to problem solve with missing or incomplete data, and have the ability to work independently.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1-3 years of cash applications experience.
- Excellent verbal and written client-facing communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, particularly MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a Software as a Service environment is a plus.
- High level of familiarity with Intacct, Stripe, Paya, Braintree, ZenDesk and Salesforce is a plus.
***This is your role***
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer’s AR balances, including payment and credit applications.
- Accurately process daily ACH payments/check deposits from customers, reconciling daily entries for any variances detected.
- Posting/applying payments and updating information in daily bank reports spreadsheet.
- Reach out to customers to obtain payment remittances, clarify remittance instructions and cash application questions, or follow up on failed payments if necessary.
- Monitoring email and Zendesk to respond to various clients’ inquiries and sending clients requested banking information.
- Assist in the Collections process overall, including adhoc requests.
- Review AR aging and investigate unapplied credits.
- Maintain detailed listing of unapplied funds and investigate old balances.
