Own and enforce AI governance, policies, and tool control across the company, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient AI adoption while managing risks related to data, integrations,
**Key Responsibilities**
- Define and enforce AI governance policies and standards
- Set guidelines for tools, data usage (PII, sensitive data), and integrations
- Evaluate and approve AI tools and use cases (risk, data exposure, permissions)
- Own security aspects: access control, data protection, and compliance
- Build and manage AI onboarding and approval processes
- Monitor usage, ensure compliance, and conduct audits
- Work with IT, R&D, and business teams on safe AI adoption
- Track AI initiatives, risks, and dependencies
**Technical Knowledge**
- Data security & privacy (PII, sensitive data handling)
- Access control and permissions
- API integrations, data flows, and third-party data exposure risks
- Understanding of SaaS environments and external tool risks
- Familiarity with AI tools
- Experience with AI/ML tools and use cases - advantage
- Cybersecurity, compliance, or IT risk background - advantage
- Experience with automation tools (Make, Zapier) - advantage

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in IT roles (systems, infrastructure, or security) — not only project management
- Strong understanding of IT architecture, SaaS ecosystems, APIs, and integrations
- Solid knowledge of IT security principles, data protection, and risk management practices
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (IT, R&D, business)
- Proven ability to manage IT projects/processes, including coordination, prioritization, and follow-up across multiple stakeholders
