**Role Overview:**
As the
**Head of Tool Service and Maintenance**
, you will be responsible for overseeing the
**maintenance of injection molding tools and related equipment**
to ensure seamless production performance. You will lead and develop a team of skilled technicians, drive
**continuous improvement initiatives**
, and ensure compliance with
**quality and safety standards**
while maintaining high levels of efficiency and reliability of the injection molding tools while in operation.
****Job Description****
- Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop the tool service team to ensure optimal performance.
- Assign tasks and manage workflow for efficiency and resource utilization.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure that the tool service and maintenance process comply with the safety regulations, and the standards required by the pharma industry
- Work closely with production, and quality teams to resolve tooling-related issues.
- Maintain accurate records of tool maintenance and modifications.
- Process Improvement & Innovation:
- Oversee preventive maintenance of injection molding tools and molds to minimize downtime.
- Identify opportunities to optimize tooling processes and reduce maintenance costs
- Implement best practices and state of the art technology for tool service and maintenance
****Qualifications****
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- 5–7 years of experience in tool service, mold maintenance, or related fields.
- Proven leadership in managing technical teams within manufacturing.
- Experience in injection molding or medical devices is a plus.
- Technical Knowledge:
- Strong expertise in tooling design, machining (grinding, milling, turning).
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
- Leadership & Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and team management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate across engineering, production, and quality teams.
