**Project Overview**
The Government of North Macedonia is planning to award Bechtel, along with our joint venture partner, the construction of approximately 110km of dual carriageway motorway.
The project is of significant national importance, and the Government of North Macedonia is entrusting the joint venture to fast track the development and construction of these strategic motorways which will form part of the Pan-European Corridors IIIV and Xd, which will enhance North Macedonia’s transport connections with neighbouring countries and support economic and social development.
These four new sections of motorway will continue Bechtel’s legacy in delivering successful motorways in the Balkan region. The North Macedonia motorway consists of two sections in the west heading south from the capital Skopje and running parallel to the Sharr mountains, one section passing through the UNESCO natural world heritage site around Lake Ohrid (one of Europe’s deepest and oldest lakes), with the fourth section in the South of the country close to the border with Greece which will enhance connectivity between the cities of Bitola and Prilep.
**Job Summary**
This role will provide supervision to site materials coordination personnel at the project site to ensure that materials are provided on time and in sufficient quantity to support the completion of construction work. You will ensure that discipline Materials Management Coordinators provide accurate reporting of all materials required for work package installation. The Warehouse Manager will also monitor the work processes and the effectiveness of materials personnel in providing timely and accurate distribution of materials to Construction and/or (Sub) Contractor installation locations. You will develop project workhour estimates and monitors against approved budgets, assist in establishing long-range personnel objectives and in developing personnel and provide materials coordination support to project functional groups.
**Major Responsibilities**
- Maintain a zero-accident policy on site.
- Supervises a team of materials coordination personnel. Advises, interfaces and provides expert guidance on materials coordination to other project personnel as delegated.
- Develops and implements Materials Management Plan with respect to applicable commodity groups within area of responsibility.
- Implements the planned construction activities and work packaging structure on the project through coordination with Field Engineering, Construction, and/or (Sub) Contractors, and Project Controls.
- Determines, with the functional groups, the best strategy for fabricated systems that provides the most overall value on the project.
- Implements planned inventory control mechanisms, such as min-max and bag-and-tag to ensure construction material requirements are met.
- Coordinates material availability in support of design revisions, rework, contingency or work-around plans.
- Participates in Construction and/or (Sub) Contractor planning meetings for awareness of installation plans and priorities.
**Education And Experience Requirements**
- Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience
**Required Knowledge And Skills**
- Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics/Transportation, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering or demonstrable industry experience in lieu.
- Management Experience in Warehousing and Materials Management
- Knowledge of Field Procurement operations related to the receipt, storage and control of materials on a project.
- Knowledge of Field Engineering disciplines, work processes and the deliverables produced.
- Supervising complex materials management
- Knowledge of business administration procedures, tools, techniques, and business ethics.
- Ability to develop concept and detailed materials management strategies that are cost effective and innovative.
- Experience in materials planning, allocation, resource development and supplier management.
- Has extensive knowledge of procurement strategies and material planning
