**Job Overview**
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is an expert in
**Node.js and TypeScript**
who is comfortable working within a cloud-native environment. While your primary focus will be designing and scaling backend services, you should have a
**working knowledge of AWS**
and a willingness to collaborate on infrastructure and CI/CD workflows. We value engineers who write clean, testable code and are eager to grow their skills across the full lifecycle of a cloud-based application.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and optimize high-performance backend services and APIs using Node.js and TypeScript.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on scalability and security.
- Implement robust unit and integration tests to ensure high-quality delivery.
- **Collaborate on**
cloud-native solutions on AWS, ensuring services are performant and secure.
- **Support the maintenance**
of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines alongside our platform team.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural discussions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production environments.
**Required Qualifications**
- 5+ years of experience in backend development, with deep proficiency in
**Node.js and TypeScript**
.
- Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
- Solid understanding of unit testing frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest)
- **Familiarity with AWS services**
(e.g., Lambda, S3, RDS) and how backend code interacts with cloud infrastructure.
- **Exposure to**
modern deployment workflows, including CI/CD and containerization.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a "product-first" mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
**Preferred (Nice-to-Have)**
- **Direct experience with Terraform**
or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
- Experience configuring or managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments.
