We are seeking an IoT Engineer with at least 4 years of experience and knowledge of Italian and English.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain the Edge layer of our IoT platform
- Integrate with industrial PLCs and manage real-time data collection and processing
- Design and deploy containerized applications and microservices on edge devices
- Implement event-driven architectures for efficient data streaming and messaging
- Manage time-series data pipelines and generate Parquet files for analytics
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance in Linux-based environments
**Required Skills & Experience**
**Core Technologies**
- Node-RED: Hands-on experience building flows for industrial automation
- OT Environments: Proven background in Operational Technology settings, working with industrial protocols and equipment
**Edge Computing & Containerization**
- Azure IoT Edge Runtime: Experience with runtime configuration and module deployment
- Docker: Strong containerization skills
- Architecting and deploying modular microservices on edge devices
- Deploying containerized modules in Linux environments
**Messaging & Data Management**
- RabbitMQ: Building event-driven messaging systems
- PostgreSQL & TimescaleDB: Managing relational and time-series data
- Experience with time-series data workflows
- Parquet file generation for efficient data storage and processing
**Operating Systems**
- Linux (Ubuntu Server): System administration and deployment experience
**Nice to Have**
- Experience with industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, etc.)
- Knowledge of data security in OT environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for edge deployments
- Previous experience in manufacturing, energy, or process industries
