**Legal & Data Compliance Consultant (Short-Term Contract, UK GDPR / PECR)**

**About the Role:**
We are launching a new B2B data business supplying UK mobile and email data and are looking for an experienced Legal & Data Compliance Consultant to support us on a short-term, project-based engagement.
This is
**not a permanent or full-time role**
. It is a focused consulting assignment to help establish the legal, contractual, and compliance foundations required to launch the business confidently and compliantly.
The project is expected to be completed within
**2–4 weeks**
, depending on availability and approach.
**Responsibilities:**
- Advise on legal structure and compliance requirements for a B2B data provider
- Draft core commercial documents including Data Supply Agreement, Terms of Use, MSA, and liability limitations
- Create privacy policies, data processing terms, and legitimate interest documentation
- Design processes for data handling, deletion requests, suppression lists, and audit trails
- Ensure sales and marketing practices align with UK GDPR and PECR
- Provide practical, commercially focused compliance advice to support launch
**Requirements:**
- Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, and PECR
- Experience drafting commercial contracts for data, SaaS, or technology businesses
- Proven ability to translate legal requirements into practical operational processes
- Comfortable working autonomously in a short, delivery-focused engagement
- UK-based or strong UK regulatory experience preferred
