**Role Overview**
We are seeking detail-oriented developers who deliver high-quality work. We are intentionally tool-agnostic in principle: we value strong fundamentals, sound judgment, and demonstrable impact over familiarity with any single language or framework. Our website work is primarily built with Gatsby, and successful candidates are comfortable working within (and improving) that ecosystem.
This role reports to a Technical Director and collaborates closely with other teams to deliver reliable, maintainable digital experiences.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Develop and maintain responsive web experiences using
**Gatsby**
and modern front-end practices
• Implement features and fixes with attention to quality, performance, and long-term maintainability
• Apply accessibility best practices and contribute to inclusive experiences aligned with
**WCAG**
guidelines
• Implement and maintain analytics tagging via
**Google Tag Manager (GTM)**
, ensuring events and data layers are accurate and testable
• Follow established development standards (version control, code review, documentation, testing practices)
• Communicate status clearly and raise risks early when timeline, scope, or quality may be impacted
•
**Use AI-assisted development tools responsibly**
(e.g., Cursor or similar) to improve productivity while maintaining code quality
**Required Experience and Skills**
•
**2+ years of experience**
developing websites and/or web applications
• Proficiency with modern
**HTML, CSS, and JavaScript**
• Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility considerations and practical debugging techniques
• Working knowledge of accessibility fundamentals and WCAG-aligned implementation practices
• Hands-on experience implementing and maintaining analytics tagging via
**Google Tag Manager (GTM)**
, including events and data layer management
**(must-have)**
• Familiarity with version control best practices (e.g., Git workflows)
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• A collaborative mindset and strong interpersonal skills
• Comfortable with everyday coding tasks (debugging, small refactors, working with existing codebases, writing clear and readable code)

• Experience consuming or integrating with
**REST APIs**
