Akademia Multidisiplinare (AKMU) is a non-profit organization engaged in European cooperation, cultural development, and cross-border initiatives.
Within the framework of the Interreg IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme, AKMU is implementing the AMELIA Project, aimed at strengthening regional collaboration and sustainable development through international partnerships.
**Role Description**
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager, located in Tirana, Albania.
The Project Manager will lead and coordinate the implementation of the Interreg IPA-funded AMELIA Project, ensuring compliance with EU programme rules and successful delivery of project objectives.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Managing project timelines, deliverables, and milestones
- Coordinating communication with international project partners
- Preparing technical and narrative reports in line with Interreg IPA requirements
- Monitoring project progress and ensuring alignment with approved work plans
- Identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks
- Ensuring compliance with EU administrative, financial, and visibility rules
- Supporting internal coordination between communication and financial teams
The role requires strong leadership, organizational capacity, and experience in EU-funded project environments.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in Project Management, preferably within EU-funded projects (Interreg / IPA strongly preferred)
- Strong knowledge of project planning, monitoring, and reporting procedures
- Experience in coordinating international partnerships and stakeholders
- Familiarity with EU compliance, eligibility, and documentation standards
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, International Relations, or a related field
- Previous experience in cross-border cooperation projects is highly desirable
