Extrusion Machine Engineer / Plastic Production Technician

We are looking for an experienced Extrusion Engineer / Plastic Production Technician to troubleshoot and optimize our flat-drip irrigation pipe extrusion line in Gjakova, Kosovo. The machine is Chinese-made and has been idle for several months, causing issues such as pipe snapping and unstable temperatures.
You will arrive on-site around 19 December to stabilize the line, balance all temperature zones, calibrate the dripper-insertion unit, and train our operators.
We will cover: flight, hotel, food, local transportation, and provide a daily payment.

Roles and Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve pipe snapping and other production issues
Stabilize and balance temperatures across the extrusion line (barrel, die, head, and cooling zones)
Calibrate dripper-insertion unit for precise alignment
Conduct test runs to ensure stable production at target speed
Train operators on proper machine operation and SOPs
Document optimized settings in a simple, clear SOP for ongoing use
Provide recommendations for maintenance and material handling
## Desired Candidate Profile
2–10 years of experience in plastic extrusion, especially flat-drip or HDPE/LLDPE pipe lines
Strong understanding of temperature control, extrusion mechanics, and troubleshooting
Experience with Chinese-made extrusion machines is a plus
Hands-on experience in calibration, operator training, and SOP creation
Comfortable working on-site in Kosovo for short-term projects
Professional, reliable, and able to work independently
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
