- **Why this matters:**
Airlines exploit passenger confusion about their rights. We are fixing that, one claim at a time.
- **Global Scale:**
International team spread across 18 countries. Fast-growing, ambitious, impact-driven.
**About the Role**
AirAdvisor is on a mission to ensure every air traveler receives the compensation they are entitled to for flight delays, cancellations, missed connections, and baggage disruptions. As we grow our global claims operations, we are looking for an
**Airline Claims Specialist**
who is driven by fairness, comfortable with complexity, and ready to make a real difference for passengers. You will manage cases end-to-end: from submitting claims to airlines and navigating aviation authority processes, to keeping clients informed and delivering quality results at every step.
**A closer overview of what you will do:**
- **Submit and Follow Up on Claims:**
Submit compensation claims to airlines via airline portals and written correspondence, following up diligently to ensure each case is accurate, compliant, and resolved in a timely manner.
- **Manage Client Communication:**
Guide clients through the full claims lifecycle: setting realistic expectations, providing case updates, and resolving inquiries via email and internal tools.
**This is not a call center role: all interaction is written and structured.**
- **Coordinate with Aviation Authorities:**
Escalate and resolve complex cases by engaging directly with national aviation authorities (such as the CAA, DGAC, or Luftfahrtbundesamt) when airline responses require regulatory intervention.
- **Ensure Regulatory Compliance:**
Apply your understanding of EU Regulation 261/2004, UK261, and the Montreal Convention to assess eligibility, interpret airline responses, and ensure all claims are processed within the correct legal framework.
- **Organize and Document Casework:**
Maintain thorough case records and organize structured feedback between airlines, clients, lawyers, and internal teams to continuously improve claim outcomes and processing quality.
- **Meet Quality and Performance Targets:**
Deliver consistently high claim processing quality and client satisfaction scores. A structured ramp-up period during onboarding means targets are introduced progressively, giving you the time and support to reach full speed.
**Who You Are:**
We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, self-directed, and genuinely motivated by helping people navigate complex situations. Prior experience in a claims, legal, insurance, or customer-facing
operations
role is highly valued.
- **Client Interaction Experience:**
You are comfortable managing professional written communication with clients, airlines, lawyers, and external partners, keeping all parties informed and on track throughout a case.
- **Regulatory Awareness:**
Knowledge of air passenger rights regulations: EU 261/2004, UK261, or the Montreal Convention is a strong advantage. If you are not there yet, a clear willingness to learn it quickly is essential.
- **Attention to Detail:**
You catch errors before they become problems. Strong organizational skills, deadline awareness, and a methodical approach to casework are non-negotiable.
- **Tech-Comfortable:**
You are at ease working with digital tools: case management platforms, email tools, and airline portals. Full training on our proprietary claims system is provided from day one. AI agents to improve your work quality and speed, such as Claude, are highly desired.
- **Fluent English (written and spoken):**
Required for all client, partner, and authority communication.
- **Additional European Languages and/or Ukrainian:**
Proficiency in other European languages gives you a strong competitive advantage in our multilingual claims environment and increases the range of markets you can support.
- **Remote-Ready and Self-Directed:**
You are comfortable managing your workday independently in a fully remote setup, using structured time-tracking tools to stay organized and accountable.
- **Resilient and Adaptable:**
You thrive in a dynamic environment, can manage a varied caseload without losing quality, and stay composed when cases get complex or timelines get tight.
- **Interest in Aviation, Travel, or Passenger Rights:**
Genuine curiosity about the aviation industry and air passenger rights will help you grow quickly and find real meaning in the work.
**What We Offer**
We are interested in long-term cooperation and investment in your growth.
- **Flexible Working Hours:**
You can adjust your working day to suit your needs and capacity, and your work time will be easily recorded in our time and activity monitoring application.
- **Remote Work:**
**Work from anywhere in the world**
and integrate into a truly international team.
- **Career progression opportunities:**
You can grow to Senior Airline Claims Specialist and Team Lead over time.
- **Real Social Impact:**
You will be part of a fast-growing LegalTech and TravelTech platform with a clear social mission.
- **An international team located in 19 countries.**
While we do not provide a standard employment contract in your country of residence, we aim to establish a stable and long-term partnership. For this reason, we offer an indefinite-term contract arrangement.
