**Role Description**
The Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Platform Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tirana, Albania. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and related Azure data services. Day-to-day tasks include building and optimizing data models, configuring and managing data pipelines, developing interactive dashboards and reports, and ensuring data quality and integrity across platforms. The engineer will collaborate with product owners, analysts, and software engineers to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutions, monitor platform performance, and apply best practices for security, governance, and documentation.
**Qualifications**
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, identify patterns, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Proficiency in data modeling, including designing efficient schemas and relationships for reporting and analytics.
- Experience in building and maintaining dashboards, preferably using Power BI or similar BI tools.
- Hands-on experience with Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools for integrating data from multiple sources.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and architectures to support scalable, high-performance analytics solutions.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Synapse) is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming or scripting language commonly used in data engineering.
- Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices in cloud environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
