- 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in production environments.
- Strong Python skills including application and backend development.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, partitioning, and schema evolution.
- Proficiency in SQL for data transformation and querying.
- Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred).
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).
- Strong communication and documentation skills in English.
Nice-to-have skills:
- Knowledge of data pipelining and orchestration frameworks (Airflow, Step Functions).
- Understanding of data quality and observability tools.
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows (MLFlow, Feature Stores).
- Experience with API development (FastAPI, Flask).
- Awareness of FinOps or cost-efficient cloud architecture design.

- Participate in architecture discussions, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
- Design and implement robust data pipelines and backend applications in Python and SQL.
- Build and maintain data infrastructure (storage, compute, orchestration) using IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Develop and deploy ETL/ELT jobs to transform and enrich data from multiple sources.
- Work with cloud-native tools (AWS, Azure, or GCP), especially services like S3, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB (or equivalents).
- Apply best practices for CI/CD, testing, observability, and data governance.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and ensure delivery aligns with business goals.
