**We are looking for Head of Site Reliability Engineering Department to join our team.**

Quipu is the dedicated IT company of the ProCredit group and provides comprehensive end-to-end solutions for all ProCredit institutions, as well as for other banks and financial institutions This includes everything from electronic payment services to software systems, hybrid cloud hosting, and a host of other operations.

A 100% subsidiary of ProCredit Holding, Quipu was established in March 2004 and is headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Quipu plays a central role within the ProCredit group, providing a comprehensive range of support services that enable the banks to become competitive and efficient.

T
**he Head of Site Reliability Department**
is responsible for the strategic leadership, governance, and operational excellence of all Site Reliability activities within the organization. The role ensures business-critical systems and services are designed, deployed, operated, and continuously improved to meet availability, performance, security, and scalability requirements in a 24x7x365 environment. This position combines department-level leadership, budget ownership, risk and incident accountability, and oversight of Site Reliability Engineering practices, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and operational standards.

The Head of SRE will report directly to MB member – CIO Igor Mitrovski.

**Main duties and responsibilities**

• Develop and implement the Site Reliability strategy and long-term roadmap aligned with Technology Operations objectives.

• Define department-level objectives, KPIs, and performance metrics for reliability, availability, and operational efficiency.

• Ensure compliance with internal policies, quality standards, and security requirements.

• Lead, manage, and develop the Site Reliability Department, including managers and Site Reliability Engineers.

• Foster a culture of reliability engineering, automation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

• Oversee hiring, onboarding, performance management, and professional development.

• Ensure reliable day-to-day operations of all systems under responsibility in accordance with SLAs.

• Lead major incidents, outages, and service transitions, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions.

• Drive automation, monitoring, and observability initiatives.

• Oversee architecture, deployment, maintenance, and optimization of highly available systems across private and public cloud environments.

• Define, document, and continuously improve SRE and operational processes.

• Ensure adherence to technical standards and security controls.

• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Product, Security, and Process teams to balance reliability and innovation.

• Communicate risks, capacity constraints, and improvement initiatives to management and stakeholders.

• Develop and manage the Site Reliability Department budget.

• Oversee resource allocation, tooling, and inventory for Site Reliability operations.

**Additional duties and responsibilities**

• Other duties assigned at the discretion of management.

**Replacement regulation**

In case of absence, the duties of the Head of Site Reliability Department are performed by designated senior members of the Site Reliability Department under the supervision of the respective member of the Management Board. The Head of Site Reliability Department is responsible for ensuring an orderly handover of duties and for providing all necessary information to guarantee continuity of operations.

**Qualifications requirements**

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Management, or a related field.

• Proven experience in technical leadership and managing Site Reliability or large-scale IT operations teams.

• Experience operating highly available systems in cloud environments (e.g. Azure).

• Strong understanding of ITIL, incident and problem management, and agile environments.

• Experience with budgeting, resource planning, and stakeholder management.

• At least 3 years of experience in Quipu
