About the Role
A growing restaurant brand in Albania is looking for a reliable, HR and Immigration Specialist based in Albania to lead the staffing and legal onboarding for an exciting new African Restaurant. This is a great opportunity for an Albanian HR professional looking for flexible, meaningful work with a dynamic F&B team.
The primary focus of this role is twofold: managing the end-to-end recruitment of a specialized culinary team (chefs) from an African country and ensuring their legal transition into the Albanian workforce. The ideal candidate is an expert in the Albanian labor market, the e-albania portal, and the specific legal pathways required to hire and permit non-EU/Third-country nationals.
Key Responsibilities
Support recruitment and onboarding of specialized chefs from Africa, ensuring all candidates meet the brand’s culinary and professional standards.
Prepare and file all necessary documentation for Type D Visas and Unique Permits (Work/Residence).
Verify international references and culinary certifications, ensuring they align with Albanian equivalency requirements.
Execute the National Employment Agency (Labour Market Test) process to justify the hiring of foreign nationals.
Draft employment contracts that strictly adhere to the Albanian Labour Code, including mandatory provisions for social security, health insurance, and minimum wage.
Manage all filings through the e-Albania portal and ensure timely registration of staff with local authorities upon arrival.
Provide advisory support on local tax obligations and payroll setup for international staff.
Maintain employee records and HR documentation in compliance with Albanian labor law
Handle day-to-day HR queries from staff and management.
Give local knowledge and support.
Advise management on employee relations and performance matters
Requirements
Based in Albania (mandatory).
Minimum of 3-5 years in HR or Legal Consulting in Albania, with a proven track record in Immigration Law and hiring Third-country nationals (non-EU).
Solid understanding of Albanian labor legislation.
Advanced knowledge of the e-Albania portal and the National Employment Agency’s filing procedures.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Fluency in Albanian (Native/Bilingual) and professional proficiency in English.
