The ICT Governance Manager plays a central role in establishing, maintaining, and continuously improving governance processes across the ICT function. The role focuses on IT asset lifecycle management, vendor and contract governance, and ICT financial planning and control. Acting as a key enabler for the Governance & Strategy pillar, this position ensures that ICT operations are transparent, cost-effective, compliant, and aligned with organizational objectives.
**Responsibilities:**
**IT Asset Management**
- Maintain and govern the IT asset inventory (hardware, software, licenses, cloud subscriptions) ensuring data accuracy and completeness throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Define and enforce asset management policies, including procurement, deployment, maintenance, and decommissioning procedures.
- Monitor software license compliance and optimize license usage to reduce cost exposure and audit risk.
- Coordinate periodic asset audits and reconciliation activities with IT operations and finance teams.
- Support the evolution of the ServiceNow platform toward Software Asset Management (SAM) and broader IT asset management capabilities, including tool configuration, module activation, and integration with existing ITAM/ITSM processes.
**Vendor & Contract Management**
- Manage the end-to-end vendor lifecycle: onboarding, performance monitoring, contract renewals, and offboarding.
- Maintain a centralized vendor registry with up-to-date contract details, SLAs, risk classifications, and spend data.
- Collaborate with Procurement and Legal to negotiate ICT contracts, ensuring favorable terms and governance compliance.
- Support periodic vendor performance reviews (scorecards, KPIs) and escalate underperformance issues.
- Support vendor risk assessments in coordination with Cybersecurity and Compliance teams.
**ICT Financial Management & Budget Governance**
- Support the annual ICT budget planning cycle, working closely with the Senior Director and Controlling to consolidate inputs from all ICT pillars.
- Track ICT expenditure against budget, producing monthly variance reports and forecasts for management review.
- Define and maintain cost allocation models (by project, service, cost center) to improve transparency of ICT spending.
- Prepare business cases and cost-benefit analyses for ICT investments, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities through spend analysis, contract consolidation, and demand management.
**Governance Frameworks & Reporting**
- Contribute to the design and implementation of ICT governance frameworks (aligned with ITIL, COBIT, or ISO 27001 as applicable).
- Develop and maintain governance dashboards and KPI reports for ICT leadership and executive stakeholders.
- Document governance processes, standard operating procedures, and decision-making workflows.
- Support internal and external audit activities related to ICT governance controls.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Management Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
**Required Skills:**
- 5-7 years of experience in IT governance, IT asset management, vendor management, or IT financial planning, preferably within a mid-to-large enterprise or consulting environment.
- Hands-on experience with ITSM / ITAM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, Flexera, Snow) and ERP systems.
- Exposure to ICT budgeting processes and cost management practices.
- Solid understanding of IT asset lifecycle management and software license compliance.
- Familiarity with vendor management frameworks and contract negotiation principles.
- Knowledge of ICT financial management: budgeting, forecasting, cost allocation, and chargeback/showback models.
- Working knowledge of governance frameworks such as ITIL v4, COBIT 2019, or ISO/IEC 20000.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities, comfortable interacting with both technical teams and senior leadership.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
- Proactive, self-organized, and able to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Fluent in English; Italian is a strong plus.
