Business Development Intern

**About the Chamber**
The Swedish-Macedonian Chamber of Commerce
*(SMCC)*
is a non-profit business platform dedicated to trade, investment, and knowledge exchange between Sweden and North Macedonia.
The Chamber provides comprehensive support to companies from both countries looking to expand into new markets by offering local expertise, identifying suitable partners, and facilitating contacts between stakeholders.
**Who Are We Looking For?**
This internship is designed for current students (full-time or part-time) or recent graduates from undergraduate or postgraduate studies in Business, Economics, Marketing, Political Science, or other related fields.
**The Ideal Candidate**
- Is an enthusiastic individual with a strong interest in international business;
- Is self-motivated, proactive, and possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills;
- Values creativity, curiosity, and maintains an open mind;
- Follows current social events and takes an interest in the Swedish-Macedonian economy, political climate, and business community;
- Is communicative and enjoys a diverse work environment.
**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Assisting in the organization of business events, networking sessions, and social gatherings;
- Supporting marketing activities and communications, including social media management and website updates;
- Assisting in the preparation of the monthly newsletter;
- Conducting research and assisting with daily administrative tasks;
- Communicating with Chamber members and partners;
- Attending relevant meetings, seminars, and business events;
- Supporting project implementation, report writing, and other assigned duties.
**Qualifications**
- Excellent proficiency in English (minimum C1 level) is required, while knowledge of Swedish, Macedonian, or Albanian is considered an advantage;
- Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft 365;
- Well-organised, proactive, and able to multitask effectively;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team;
- Previous experience in policy analysis is considered an advantage.
**Practical Information**
- The internship is unpaid;
- The internship will be based in Skopje. Candidates are expected to arrange relocation and secure appropriate funding independently, for example, through an Erasmus+ traineeship grant or similar programs, subject to eligibility;
- The internship offers flexible working hours, which can be arranged as either a full-time or part-time position, depending on the candidate's availability and mutual agreement;
- The intern will work under the direct mentorship of a team member in the office.
