to manage, optimize, and secure our WooCommerce-based e-commerce platform. You will be the backbone of our technical operations, ensuring that our site is lightning-fast, 100% reachable, and secure from external threats.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Server Management:**
Maintain and optimize our PHP-based hosting environment via cPanel and Linux command line.
- **Database Performance:**
Monitor and tune MySQL/MariaDB for high-traffic WooCommerce transactions.
- **Infrastructure & DNS:**
Manage domain records, SSL certificates, and CDN configurations (e.g., Cloudflare) to ensure global availability.
- **Site Reliability:**
Troubleshoot site crashes, slow load times, and integration errors between WordPress and third-party APIs.
- **Communication**
: Coordinate with our development team and stakeholders.
- **English (written and verbal)**
is essential for clear documentation and reporting.
**Technical Requirements**
- At least
**5 years**
of experience in a similar position.
- **PHP Hosting & cPanel:**
Deep expertise in managing WHM/cPanel environments and PHP-FPM configurations.
- **Linux Administration:**
Proficiency in terminal-based management (SSH, Bash scripting, permissions).
- **MySQL Expert:**
Experience with database optimization, backups, and query troubleshooting.
- **Networking & DNS:**
Solid understanding of A records, CNAMEs, MX records, and propagation issues.
- **WordPress/WooCommerce Internals:**
Familiarity with how WordPress interacts with the server (wp-config, .htaccess, cron jobs).
**Preferred Skills**
- **CI/CD Pipelines:**
Experience setting up automated deployments (Jenkins, Github Actions or similar tools) move code from staging to production seamlessly.
- **DevSecOps:**
A "security-first" mindset. Experience with WAFs, malware scanning, and server hardening.
- **Monitoring Tools:**
Experience with New Relic, Datadog, or similar tools to track site performance.
