**About the Role**
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join our team in East Gate. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, has an appreciation for high-quality pastries and food, and thrives in fast-paced environments.
As a Shop Assistant, you will be the face of our shop – serving freshly baked Nordic pastries, sandwiches, coffees, juices, etc. while delivering positive customer experiences.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Greet and serve customers in a warm, professional manner
- Sell a variety of Nordic pastries, sandwiches, and beverages
- Prepare and serve coffee and other drinks
- Maintain product display, ensuring it is fresh, clean, and visually appealing
- Handle cash and POS transactions accurately
- Restock products and monitor inventory levels throughout the shift
- Ensure clean hygiene standards are maintained at all times
- Support opening and closing procedures of the shop
**Working hours**
- Morning shift: 08:00 – 16:00
- Afternoon shift: 12:00 – 20:00
**Requirements**
- Previous experience in retail, hospitality or food service is nice to have
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Reliable, punctual, and detailed-oriented
- Coffee and juice preparation (barista experience is a plus)
