LCV EUCOM Kosovo: Machine Operator
**Job Summary**
The Machine Operator (Composting Equipment) is responsible for supporting daily composting operations through the safe operation and handling of assigned equipment, materials, and work activities. Working under direct supervision, the position performs assigned tasks, supports the movement of materials and equipment, maintains work areas and equipment, and ensures activities are completed in accordance with established safety requirements.
**Roles And Responsibilities**
- Perform assigned daily work activities under direct supervision.
- Operate and support the use of equipment associated with composting operations.
- Follow instructions and applicable documentation to plan and complete assigned work activities.
- Coordinate and support the movement of materials and equipment to designated work locations.
- Assist with setting up and maintaining work sites for daily operations.
- Complete, review, and maintain required operational records and documentation.
- Maintain assigned tools and equipment in appropriate working condition.
- Perform general housekeeping and cleanup activities in assigned work areas.
- Perform moderate to heavy lifting as required to support operational activities.
- Observe and follow all established safety rules, procedures, and work practices.
- Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of composting operations.
**Basic Qualifications (Required Education, Experience, Skills, And Certifications)**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
- A valid medium equipment operators license
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and other physical activities associated with the position.
- Ability to understand and follow work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Ability to maintain basic operational records and documentation.
- Ability to safely work with tools, equipment, and materials in an operational environment.
- Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license and maintain its validity for the duration of employment
- Fluency in Albanian and possessing an unrestricted right to work and reside in Kosovo.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Previous experience operating machinery or equipment in a composting, waste management, materials handling, or similar operational environment.
- Experience working in an industrial, construction, maintenance, or project-site environment.
- Familiarity with equipment inspection and basic equipment care.
- Strong safety awareness and demonstrated ability to follow established procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
