**Role Description**
The Facade Designer is a full-time, on-site role based in Albania, responsible for developing detailed facade concepts and technical solutions for building envelope projects. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and reviewing shop drawings, coordinating cladding and glazing details, and ensuring design accuracy and constructability. The role involves collaborating with architects, engineers, and project managers to align facade design with structural, thermal, and aesthetic requirements. The Facade Designer will participate in material selection, support quality control during fabrication and installation, and help resolve design-related issues on-site. The position also requires adherence to relevant codes and standards and support in optimizing energy performance and sustainability outcomes for each project.
**Qualifications**
- Proficiency in facade and facade design, with experience in building envelopes and architectural detailing.
- Strong skills in shop drawings, including the ability to produce, interpret, and revise detailed technical plans.
- Knowledge of cladding systems, including material selection, fixing methods, and integration with the overall facade.
- Understanding of glazing design, including glass performance, framing systems, and interface details.
- Relevant educational background in architecture, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with CAD/BIM tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design software).
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with building codes, thermal performance, and facade-related safety standards is an advantage.
- Prior experience in facade engineering or curtain wall design within the construction industry is highly beneficial.
