We function as a professional support team, contributing from the concept planning stage through to project completion. Our mission is to build a highly skilled, family-oriented team that bridges our New York, Tirana, and Prishtina offices. By combining common sense, practical experience, and academic knowledge, our team successfully analyzes, solves, and completes diverse challenges and objectives.
As part of a New York–based group of companies, Flex supports construction projects across the tri-state area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut). Our Albania office operates from a spacious 1,000m² space at Rr. Kavajës, Kompleksi Delijorgji Building L K8, Tirana, and we have recently expanded into Prishtina, Kosovo, further strengthening our regional presence. We maintain close collaboration with our U.S. colleagues, working in alignment with New York business hours (13:30–21:30 Albania Time).

**Job Description**
As a Take-Off Engineer, you will play a vital role in the early planning stages of construction projects that require safety and access services, including scaffolding, hoists, sidewalk sheds, and related systems. Our projects range from residential mid-rise buildings to large commercial complexes and skyscrapers.
You will be responsible for carefully reviewing architectural and engineering drawings, while also considering local building codes and project-specific regulations. From this analysis, you will prepare a comprehensive take-off package that includes:
- A complete top-view layout of the project.
- A detailed quantity and component breakdown of the required systems.
- A clear technical report ready to be delivered to the pricing and estimating department.
Beyond preparing take-offs, you will ensure that all job requirements are checked against our services, providing accurate measurements, compliance with regulations, and the most effective solutions for safe and efficient project execution.
**Responsibilities**
- Review and analyze take-off requests for construction projects.
- nterpret construction and engineering drawings to prepare accurate take-offs.
- Review and validate take-offs prepared by others to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Prepare project specifications, technical reports, engineering plans, and quantity estimates.
- Support project scope changes by updating estimates for systems, subsystems, and components.
- Communicate effectively with local team members and our New York office regarding project details and progress.
**Qualifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (required).
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering documentation.
- 0–3 years of relevant experience (entry-level candidates are welcome).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in construction or related services is a plus.
- Excellent command of the English language (spoken and written).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
