Job description

Own a new product from proof of concept through launch for one of our North American clients. The concept is defined and early build is underway; the job is to take it to a committed general-availability date, working backward from that deadline. You will hold scope, own the requirements for pulling multiple third-party data sources into one product, work hands-on with a small engineering team, and represent the product to senior stakeholders who stay closely involved throughout. The day-to-day product is yours

**Roles & Responsibilities**

- You decide and report on anything inside what has already been agreed. You align with leadership first when a call changes what has been committed to a customer, a partner, or the business.
- Hold the minimum lovable product boundary. Decide what ships for launch and what moves to the post-launch roadmap, and explain that call, including to senior stakeholders and customers.
- Own the requirements for integrating multiple third-party data sources, including what stays manual, what gets automated, and how integration deepens over time.
- Work hands-on with a small engineering team: own the backlog, resolve the daily gaps between design intent and what the platform supports, and escalate only the calls that change the product concept or its value to the customer.
- Turn early customer interest into validated requirements and committed pilots or early adopters.
- Build and run the release plan, working backward from a fixed launch date: sequencing, dependencies, trade-offs, risk log, and readiness gates. Own the consequences of those calls.
- Own launch readiness, including demo and trade-show preparation and coordination with marketing and sales.
- Represent the product in senior forums. Answer for its status, evidence, and direction, and name what is unproven as clearly as what is working.
- Make the go/no-go call, with an evidence-based recommendation on whether the product earns scaled investment, including a recommendation to stop.

**Job Requirements**

- 5+ years in product management, including ownership of at least one 0-to-1 product from concept to launch or pilot, working backward from a fixed launch date.
- Ownership of a pilot or early-access program: defining success criteria, running customer relationships, and turning results into a go/no-go recommendation.
- Customer discovery, including turning early interest into validated requirements and committed early adopters.
- Experience defining requirements for integration-heavy products that combine data from multiple third-party sources.
- A track record of holding scope under pressure from stakeholders, design, engineering, and customers.
- Hands-on technical fluency: owning a backlog, working closely with a small engineering team, and holding trade-off conversations to a decision.
- Comfortable running independently once trusted, under close and continuous leadership attention.
- Experience representing a product directly to senior leadership.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the judgment to separate what leadership decides from what the squad handles.
- AI fluency: demonstrated use of AI to accelerate research synthesis, prototyping, or requirements development.

**Nice to have:**

- SaaS, enterprise software, or public-sector / mobility solutions.
- Domain background in incident, safety, risk, or claims management
- Experience with institutional or public-sector customers on long-cycle buying relationships
- Familiarity with gated investment processes for new-product decisions.
