**Role Description**
This is a full-time, on-site Commis Chef role based at Green Coast Hotel – MGallery Collection in Orikum. The Commis Chef supports the kitchen team in preparing and cooking menu items to brand standards, ensuring consistent quality and presentation. Daily responsibilities include assisting with mise en place, basic food preparation, and cooking under the guidance of senior chefs, while adhering to hygiene and safety procedures at all times. The role involves keeping workstations clean and organized, correctly storing ingredients, and helping with stock rotation. The Commis Chef also collaborates closely with colleagues to ensure timely service and communicates effectively with the team to support smooth kitchen operations.
**Qualifications**
- Strong food preparation and basic cooking skills, with a foundation in core culinary techniques.
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene, food safety standards, and proper sanitation practices.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Demonstrated interest in culinary arts and willingness to learn from senior chefs.
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and commitment to delivering high-quality guest experiences.
- Culinary education or relevant vocational training is considered a plus.
