for building stateful multi-agent workflows and OpenAI LLMs. We are looking for a motivated
**Junior ML Engineer**
(fresh graduate or someone with no professional experience) who is passionate about AI agents and wants to grow into a production-focused AI engineering role.
As an intern, you will
**learn and support**
the hardening, orchestration, and management of our AI agentic systems. You will work closely with senior engineers, receive strong mentorship, and gradually contribute to making our agents reliable, secure, and integrated with enterprise systems like
**SAP Joule**
.

**Key Responsibilities**
**Learning & Supporting Agent Orchestration**
- Assist in building and maintaining multi-agent workflows using LangGraph (graphs, nodes, tools, memory, and basic routing).
- Help implement simple agent patterns such as tool calling, structured outputs, and basic human-in-the-loop flows.
- Learn and apply state management and checkpointing techniques under guidance.
**Supporting Hardening & Reliability**
- Help implement basic guardrails, input/output validation, and safety checks for AI agents.
- Support reliability features such as retries, error handling, and simple cost-control mechanisms.
- Contribute to testing agent behavior and identifying potential failure points.
**Infrastructure & MLOps Support**
- Assist with monitoring, logging, and basic observability of agent runs (using LangSmith and other tools).
- Help with containerization (Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Support documentation of agent workflows and internal best practices.
**Enterprise Integration Support**
- Learn and help with the integration of our agents with SAP Joule and other enterprise systems.
- Assist senior engineers in building secure connections and testing integrations with SAP BTP and HR modules.
**Team Collaboration**
- Work closely with senior ML engineers, AI researchers, and product teams.
- Actively learn production best practices for agentic AI systems.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
**Requirements (Must-Have)**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Software Engineering, or a related field (recent graduate is welcome).
- Strong Python programming skills and solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Working knowledge of Git, Docker, and at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of neural network fundamentals, especially Large Language Models.
- Experience with prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with LangChain or LangGraph from coursework, personal projects, or online courses.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and web services.
- Genuine interest in production AI systems, MLOps, and reliability engineering.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- Proactive, team-oriented attitude.
**Preferred (Nice To Have)**
- Personal or academic projects involving AI agents, LangGraph, multi-agent systems, or RAG.
- Understanding of knowledge graph concepts.
- Exposure to SAP, HR tech, or enterprise software — even through coursework.
- Awareness of AI security concepts like prompt injection and data privacy.
- Experience with other agent frameworks (CrewAI, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, etc.).
