ETMI is a non-profit organization established in Tirana, Albania with more than 12 years operating in the market. We are engaged in implementing projects in areas such as environmental management, energy transition, circular economy, and sustainable development. The organization manages donor-funded projects (EU, bilateral donors, and national funds), requiring strong financial management, compliance, and reporting systems. To strengthen our financial management capacity, we are looking to recruit a
**Financial Officer.**
**Key Responsibilities**
The Financial Officer will ensure sound financial management, accounting, budgeting, and compliance with donor and national regulations. The role supports transparency, accountability, and efficient use of financial resources across ETMI Albania projects. The key roles are:
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with Albanian legislation and donor
requirements;
· Record all financial transactions (income, expenditures, accruals);
· Prepare periodic financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual);
· Produce donor-specific financial reports (e.g., EU-funded projects);
· Support preparation of financial statements and audit reports;
\*Possession of a valid financial/accounting license (e.g., certified accountant or equivalent) is considered an asset, particularly for supporting annual audit preparation and compliance with national tax reporting requirement
**Required Qualifications**
Education
· Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
**Professional Experience**
· Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial management
· Experience with donor-funded projects (EU preferred)
· Experience in NGOs or international organizations is an advantage
