**ECOVIS Albania is adding a Senior Accountant**
to the team.
ECOVIS Albania is part of ECOVIS International, a multidisciplinary network of accountants, business and tax advisors, auditors and lawyers. We provide accounting, tax, payroll, financial and legal advisory services to businesses and non-profit organizations.
**Senior Accountant (Albanian Residents Only)**
**This role suits an experienced accounting professional. You will manage client work independently, deliver high-quality compliance work and help develop our junior team members.**
**What you’ll do**
- Manage accounting and tax compliance for a portfolio of local and international clients
- Prepare and review bookkeeping, VAT books, payroll inputs, withholding tax, reconciliations and monthly closings
- Prepare financial statements, tax returns and management reports
- Track client deadlines and make sure all filings are submitted on time
- Resolve routine accounting and tax queries, and escalate technical matters to Managers or Partners
- Build strong client relationships with clear, practical support
- Mentor and review the work of junior accountants and interns
**What you bring**
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
- At least 3+ years in accounting, tax compliance or financial reporting (professional services experience is a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Albanian accounting, tax and payroll legislation
- Excellent English and very good Excel skills
- Experience with Financa5 or similar accounting software
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking and ability to manage multiple deadlines;
- • Good communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic team.
