We are looking for an experienced
**SAS / Python Developer**
to join a remote project focused on the analysis, reengineering and modernization of existing
**SAS procedures into Python**
, while ensuring functional consistency and accuracy of the results.
**Key Responsibilities**
• Analyze existing procedures developed in
**SAS Enterprise Guide**
.
• Understand the functional logic behind SAS processes and reengineer them in
**Python**
.
• Identify opportunities for architectural and performance improvements.
• Support the transformation of procedures into
**serverless AWS solutions**
where applicable.
• Perform testing, validation and comparison of
**SAS vs. Python results**
.
• Collaborate with the internal team and share technical knowledge and best practices.
**Required Skills**
• Strong hands-on experience with
**Python**
.
• Solid knowledge of
**SAS Enterprise Guide**
, including
**Base SAS, SAS Macro Language and PROC SQL**
.
• Strong knowledge of
**SQL**
and relational databases.
• Experience with
**Git or other version control tools**
.
• Ability to analyze existing code and translate functional logic into modern Python solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
**Nice to Have**
• Experience in the
**Energy / Utilities**
sector.
• Experience with
**DevOps / CI-CD**
practices.
• Previous experience with
**Data Migration**
projects.
