RCN Capital is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team. As a BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines and systems that support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accessible, reliable, and optimized for performance. You will also collaborate with other BI team members and stakeholders to provide data-driven insights and solutions for our business.
**Responsibilities**
- Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and SSIS to extract, transform, and load data from various sources, such as SQL Server, MySQL, Excel, Sm.
- Implement and manage data integration solutions using Microsoft BI tools such as Power BI, Azure Data Factory, and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Develop and optimize data models and databases to support reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data systems.
- Monitor and troubleshoot data systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Creating and optimizing queries, views, stored procedures, and functions to support reporting and analysis needs
- Exploring and evaluating new data sources and technologies to enhance our data capabilities and improve our data efficiency
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering and business intelligence.
Skills
- Proficient in Python and SQL
- Experience with ETL tools, such as SSIS or similar
- Experience with Power BI or other reporting tools
- Experience with SQL Server and MySQL databases
- Experience with Excel and Smartsheets data sources
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in data engineering or related roles
