We invite professionals to apply for the position of
*Commercial Product & Project Manager.*

**Mission**

*The Commercial Product & Project Manager*
is the single owner of commercial performance for driving growth, optimizing the loan product and user experience itself, shaping marketing strategy — while also acting as the department's business project manager. This person plans a campaign, writes the requirements, drives the project to completion, and reads the commercial numbers personally, then moves to the next priority. This position reports to the Chief Commercial Officer

**Core Responsibilities**

*Business Project Management*

▸ Write clear, detailed business requirements for new products, campaigns, partnerships, or system changes, translating commercial needs into specs that Product, IT, and Risk can act on.

▸ Lead follow-up on every assigned project: track milestones, chase dependencies, and keep all stakeholders aligned on status and next steps.

▸ Own end-to-end delivery — from requirements and planning through execution, testing, and post-launch review — making sure each project is followed through correctly from start to finish, not just handed off.

▸ Maintain a live project tracker/roadmap across all active commercial initiatives, giving leadership clear visibility into what's in flight and what's at risk.

▸ Flag delays, scope changes, or blockers early, and drive them to resolution rather than escalating and waiting.

Product Development & Lifecycle

▸ Design and refine micro-loan and consumer-lending products end to end — pricing, tenor, eligibility, and terms — based on commercial data and market demand.

▸ Set and adjust campaign parameters (limits, promotional rates, eligibility windows) to balance growth against risk appetite.

▸ Map and continuously optimize the borrower's user journey, from first application to disbursement, removing friction that costs conversions.

▸ Own the product roadmap for assigned lines, prioritizing enhancements by commercial impact.

*Retention Strategy & Campaigns*

▸ Design, execute, and iterate customer-retention programs that lift lifetime value and cut churn among active and passive borrowers.

▸ Build and run reactivations campaigns targeted at dormant or at-risk segments.

▸ Launch and manage a structured referral program that turns existing borrowers into an acquisition channel.

▸ Test and scale discount and pricing-incentive models to drive repeat borrowing without eroding margin.

*Marketing Duties*

▸ Align commercial targets with marketing strategy, translating growth goals into campaign briefs and content priorities.

▸ Oversee promotional campaigns end to end — concept, execution, and post-mortem — across digital, SMS, email, and offline channels.

▸ Own and manage the marketing and campaign budget, tracking spend against plan and reallocating toward what performs.

▸ Optimize lead-generation funnels, from ad spend and landing pages through to application completion.

▸ Organise tasks between collaborators with clear requests and deadlines.

Commercial Analytics & KPIs

▸ Monitor conversion rates, loan disbursement volumes, and act on projected delivery status on a proactive manner.

▸ Build and maintain dashboards that give leadership a real-time read on commercial performance.

▸ Translate data into action: flag underperforming segments, campaigns, or products before they become a problem.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

▸ Partner with Risk/Underwriting to align product parameters and campaign targeting with credit policy.

▸ Work with Legal & Compliance to ensure product terms, marketing claims, and campaigns meet regulatory requirements.

▸ Coordinate with IT on system integration needs for new products, campaigns, and partner channels.

▸ Align with Sales/Field teams so commercial strategy translates into what actually happens with borrowers on the ground.

**Requirements & Qualifications**

▸ Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

Experience

▸ 7–10 years' experience in financial services, microfinance, or fintech, with direct exposure to consumer loans or retail lending.

▸ Demonstrated ownership of a product, campaign, or business project end to end — not just supporting one.

▸ Hands-on experience writing business requirements documents (BRDs) and driving cross-functional projects from initiation through delivery.

Skills

▸ Strong data analysis and commercial reasoning — comfortable moving from a dashboard to a decision.

▸ Excellent business-requirements writing: able to turn a commercial need into a clear, actionable spec other teams can build from.

▸ Solid project-management discipline: can run multiple initiatives (product, campaign, partnership, system change) in parallel, follow each through to completion, and not let any drop.

▸ Confident commercial negotiator, whether with a merchant partner, an agency, or an internal stakeholder.

▸ Working understanding of automated credit-risk engines and how product/campaign design interacts with them.

Mindset

▸ Self-starter who builds the plan, not just executes someone else's.

▸ Analytical by default — instincts backed by numbers, not the other way around.

▸ Follows through: sees every project to a genuine finish rather than a handoff.

▸ Thrives working autonomously in a flat structure, without a team to delegate to and without needing one.
