Quality Assurance Tester (German language)
Babylon Software Solution
/job-details/9491
**Location:**
Macedonia · Hybrid in Štip, or fully remote from anywhere in Macedonia · Full-time
About us
We build user centered software products for the events and education industries. We work closely together, we share what we learn and we care about doing the work well.
About the role
We are looking for a QA Tester to join our team. You will test our web products by hand, find problems before our users do, and help us release with confidence.
A large part of our software is used by German-speaking customers. You will test the German version of the product: the screens, the texts, the labels, the date and number formats. For this you need German at B2 level or better.
You do not need years of experience. You need care, patience and a structured way of working. We will teach you the rest.
What you will do
- Test new features and bug fixes by hand, on web and mobile browsers
- Read requirements and designs, and turn them into clear test cases
- Test the German version of the product and report wrong or unclear text
- Write clear bug reports: what you did, what happened, what should have happened
- Re-test fixes and confirm they work
- Work every day with developers and product owners
- Help us keep our test documentation up to date
What we need from you
- German at B2 level or better and you can read and understand German interface text and judge whether it reads correctly
- English at a working level as our team communicates in English
- Strong attention to detail. You notice small things that others miss.
- A structured, organised way of working
- Clear written communication: you can explain a problem so a developer can reproduce it
- Interest in software testing, and the wish to grow in this field
- A degree in IT or a technical field, or equivalent practical knowledge
What helps, but is not required
- Hands-on testing experience, from work, an internship, or study
- Experience with a bug tracking tool such as Jira
- Basic understanding of how web applications work (browser, server, database)
- Basic knowledge of HTML, SQL, or browser developer tools
What we offer
- **Work where you live.**
If you are in Štip or nearby, you work hybrid, part of the week in the office, part from home. If you live anywhere else in Macedonia, you work fully remote.
- **A clear path forward.**
We start with a three-month trial period. After that, we continue with a longer contract.
- **Mentoring.**
A senior colleague reviews your work and helps you learn.
- A laptop and the equipment you need for the job
- Paid annual leave
- Flexible working hours
- Team gatherings a few times a year
