**Accounting Specialist
Location: Skopje, North Macedonia
Job Type: Full-Time | On-Site
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Specialist to join our growing team in Skopje. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing driver weekly payroll processes, maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and serving as a point of contact for payroll-related inquiries. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
\* Process and manage weekly driver payroll accurately and on time
\* Review driver settlements, deductions, reimbursements, and bonuses
\* Verify payroll data and resolve discrepancies before payroll submission
\* Respond to payroll-related inquiries from drivers and internal departments
\* Maintain accurate payroll and accounting records
\* Prepare weekly and monthly payroll and financial reports
\* Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks when needed
\* Reconcile payroll transactions and support month-end closing activities
\* Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labor/tax regulations
\* Coordinate with operations and dispatch teams regarding driver payment information
\* Support audits by preparing required payroll and accounting documentation
\* Monitor and improve payroll processing efficiency and reporting accuracy
\* Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned
Qualifications
\* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field preferred
\* Previous experience in payroll, accounting, or bookkeeping is preferred
\* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, accounting software and TMS
\* Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
\* Strong organizational and time-management skills
\* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information professionally
\* Effective communication and problem-solving skills
\* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
\* English proficiency required; additional languages are a plus
Preferred Skills
\* Experience working in the transportation or logistics industry
\* Familiarity with driver payroll structures and settlement calculations
\* Understanding of U.S. payroll and trucking operations is considered an advantage
