**Role Description**
The Artificial Intelligence Specialist will design, develop, and deploy AI models and systems for health technology applications in a contract, remote role. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching and prototyping machine learning algorithms, building and optimizing data pipelines, and implementing production-grade AI solutions. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate healthcare requirements into technical specifications, performing model evaluation and validation, and ensuring data privacy and regulatory compliance where applicable. The specialist will document technical work, contribute to architectural decisions, and support continuous improvement of existing AI products and platforms.
**Qualifications**
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Programming, with experience in languages such as Python, R, or similar.
- Proficiency in Data Science and Machine Learning, including model development, training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Excellent Analytical Skills for problem-solving, data interpretation, and algorithmic thinking.
- Familiarity with health technology domains or healthcare data is preferred.
- Experience with ML frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
