**We are looking for a Mid-Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team in Skopje.**

**General description of the position**
As a Mid-Senior Quality Assurance Engineer at Quipu, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products to our banks and customers. You will apply both manual and automated testing methodologies, take ownership of QA activities for assigned features and projects, support junior engineers in the team, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by being proactive and data-driven. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, a growing ability to lead, and effective collaboration within Agile activities.
**What your key responsibilities will be:**
- Support and guide junior QA Engineers in the team, sharing knowledge and good testing practices.
- Review and validate requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop test cases based on requirements and implement test plans to ensure that software meets project specifications and design.
- Perform exploratory and destructive testing with a focus on identifying and documenting defects.
- Drive bug management and regression testing for your assigned areas, and contribute to QA metrics and reporting.
- Review defects and test logs to identify root causes and suggest improvements to development, testing, and documentation.
- Contribute ideas and improvements to the test automation framework structure and QA processes.
- Manage testing efforts across several projects and tasks under tight deadlines.
- Develop and maintain automated and manual tests for our web and mobile banking applications using different automation tools.
- Contribute to the integration and design of tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Perform manual and automated testing of APIs, databases, and backend services to ensure system reliability.
- Document test data and results and communicate them clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
- Work closely with product and engineering managers to achieve the quality goals for development teams.
- Understand product lifecycle concepts and participate in the test planning process.
- Maintain a pragmatic balance between manual exploratory testing and automated test coverage based on risk, scope, and delivery timelines.
**Skills and experience we expect from you:**
- 3+ years of proven work experience in Quality Assurance in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Experience with technical design processes, flowcharting techniques, and code compliance.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
- Solid hands-on experience with test automation for Web and/or Mobile applications using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Appium; experience contributing to framework design is a plus.
- Good experience in API and database testing for backend applications.
- Familiarity with test coverage, monitoring, and logging tools, as well as CI/CD platforms.
- Experience with ticket and bug tracking systems such as JIRA and Azure DevOps.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate confidently with other roles across teams.
- Ability to understand and create test plans from business requirements or verbal communication.
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing product and business needs.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies and activities.
