We are looking for a Junior Vue.js Developer to join our frontend engineering team at Symteq. In this role, you will work on Blueprint, our internal web platform that powers day-to-day manufacturing operations, warehouse tracking, quality control, and live production workflows.
You will join an established frontend team alongside senior and lead engineers. Rather than being thrown into the deep end, you will have regular pair-programming sessions, thorough code reviews, and structured mentorship to help you grow your software engineering skills on a large-scale, production TypeScript codebase. We are a remote-first company, with an office in Skopje available for anyone who prefers working on-site or in a hybrid rhythm.
**Responsibilities**
- Build and maintain responsive UI views, modals, forms, and data tables across the platform using Vue 3 and TypeScript.
- Implement UI components with Vuetify and SCSS in line with our design system and style guidelines.
- Connect frontend interfaces to backend REST APIs and handle live operational data updates via WebSockets.
- Write automated unit tests using Vitest to prevent regressions and maintain application stability.
- Actively engage in code reviews by incorporating feedback from senior developers and reviewing peer pull requests.
- Troubleshoot user-reported frontend bugs, identify root causes, and release dependable fixes to production.
**Qualifications**
- Practical experience building web applications with Vue.js (through commercial experience, internships, academic work, or personal projects).
- Solid foundational knowledge of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript basics (types, interfaces, async/await).
- Understanding of core Vue 3 concepts: the Composition API, reactivity (ref, reactive, computed), component props/emits, and Vue Router.
- Proficiency in HTML5 and writing clean CSS or SCSS.
- Working knowledge of Git version control (branching, commits, pull requests).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset—ready to ask questions when blocked and receptive to constructive feedback.
**Nice-to-have (or skills you will learn on the job):**
- Experience with UI component libraries (especially Vuetify).
- State management using Pinia.
- Experience with automated testing tools like Vitest or Jest.
- Familiarity with Laravel and relational databases (MySQL).
- Basic exposure to Docker and CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions).
- Experience consuming WebSockets or real-time event streams.
