**Role Description**
The Cloud Security Engineer is a full-time remote role based in Albania. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud environments for internal systems and client solutions. Daily tasks include assessing cloud infrastructure for vulnerabilities, configuring security controls, monitoring security events, and supporting incident response activities. The Cloud Security Engineer collaborates with development, operations, and customer support teams to ensure secure deployment practices, compliance with security standards, and continuous improvement of security posture. The role also involves documenting security architectures and controls, providing guidance on best practices, and contributing to security awareness across the organization.
Cloud security & administration
• Help review and harden security across OCI, GCP and Azure
• Administer compute, storage, operating systems and cloud services
• Troubleshoot issues, handle service requests and fix misconfigurations
• Monitor service health, availability and performance
Network & edge security
• Manage cloud networks, security groups, load balancers, WAF and DNS
• Tune WAF rules and security policies
Identity & access
• Manage user access, roles, MFA and privileged access
• Work with Microsoft Entra ID: Conditional Access, Identity Protection and PIM
Microsoft 365 security
• Configure and run Microsoft Defender (Endpoint, Office 365, Identity, Cloud Apps)
• Manage devices and policies in Intune
• Support data protection with Purview: sensitivity labels and DLP
• Build security dashboards and reports
Operations
• Support vulnerability management (Qualys experience is a plus)
• Monitor backups, help with restores and take part in disaster-recovery tests
• Handle incidents and changes through ITSM processes
• Document configurations, procedures and runbooks
What you’ll bring
• At least 1 year of experience in cloud, IT infrastructure or security
• Hands-on experience with at least one of Azure / Microsoft 365, OCI or GCP
• Basic understanding of identity and access management, networking and security principles
• Willingness to learn and grow across multiple cloud platforms
• Good communication in English
Nice to have
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Intune, Entra ID or Purview
• Certifications such as AZ-900, SC-900, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, OCI Foundations or Security, or GCP Cloud Security Engineer
• Experience with WAF, vulnerability scanning or backup tools
• Familiarity with Saudi regulations (NCA ECC/CCC)
