**Role Description:**
Evita SHPK is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented
**Senior Accounting Specialist**
to join its team in Tirana.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and reviewing daily accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, monitoring financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with Albanian tax legislation and applicable accounting standards.
The role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with finance and operational teams.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage, review, and reconcile general ledger accounts and accounting entries.
- Monitor and verify daily financial transactions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and reports.
- Prepare and verify tax declarations in accordance with Albanian tax legislation.
- Support monthly and annual financial closing activities.
- Monitor costs, expenses, cash flows, and other key financial indicators.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations, accounting standards, and internal company policies.
- Analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare financial analyses and reports to support management decision-making.
- Collaborate with other departments on financial and operational matters.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting procedures and internal financial controls.
- Support internal and external audits, as required.
**Qualifications and Experience:**
- Minimum 4–5 years of professional experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Albanian tax legislation, accounting standards, and fiscal procedures.
- Proven experience in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and general ledger management.
- Good knowledge of tax declarations and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting or financial software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Good command of the English language.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Professional integrity, accountability, discretion, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical, medical devices, or distribution sector will be considered an advantage.
