**Role Overview**

We are looking for an organised, proactive and highly accurate Litigation Administrator to join our busy aviation litigation team.

The team manages a high volume of passenger compensation claims arising primarily under UK261 and EU261. The Litigation Administrator will provide essential administrative support to the legal team, helping to ensure that cases progress efficiently, key deadlines are met and concluded matters are closed promptly.

This is a fast-paced role involving a high volume of individual cases and administrative tasks. Previous knowledge of UK litigation or court procedures is not required, although would be desirable, and full training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable, comfortable working at pace and able to learn new processes quickly.

**Key Responsibilities**

The successful candidate will support the litigation team with the day-to-day administration of a large caseload. Responsibilities will include:

- Preparing and filing routine documents, including Notices of Acting, Acknowledgements of Service and Directions Questionnaires, following established processes and templates.
- Monitoring cases and ensuring administrative actions are completed within required deadlines.
- Updating the case management system accurately and promptly.
- Maintaining clear, complete and well-organised electronic case files.
- Assisting with the closure of settled, discontinued or otherwise concluded cases.
- Following up for evidence that settlement payments have been made and ensuring this is correctly recorded.
- Following up with claimant representatives for confirmation that resolved claims have been formally discontinued.
- Corresponding with external parties in relation to routine administrative matters.
- Identifying cases which require legal input and escalating them promptly to the appropriate member of the team.
- Supporting solicitors and paralegals with administrative and case-management tasks as required.
- Helping colleagues manage peaks in workload and contributing to the efficient running of the wider team.

**Skills and Attributes**

We are looking for someone who:

- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in producing accurate work.
- Is highly organised and able to manage a large number of tasks and cases simultaneously.
- Is comfortable working in a busy, high-volume environment.
- Is a quick learner who can become confident with unfamiliar terminology, systems and processes.
- Is a strong team player who is willing to support colleagues and contribute to shared team objectives.
- Takes ownership of tasks and follows them through to completion.
- Can prioritise effectively and recognise when something is urgent.
- Can work independently once trained while recognising when an issue should be escalated.
- Has good written communication skills and communicates professionally and clearly.
- Is confident using standard office software and comfortable learning new digital systems.
- Has a practical, solutions-focused approach to work.
- Is comfortable undertaking process-driven and sometimes repetitive work without compromising accuracy.

**Experience**

Previous experience in an administrative, claims-handling, legal or other professional environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

No previous knowledge of UK court procedures, UK261 or EU261 is required. Full training will be provided on the relevant processes, terminology and systems.

Experience of working in a role involving high volumes of information, deadlines, document processing or case management would be particularly useful.

**What Success Looks Like**

The Litigation Administrator will play an important role in keeping a busy litigation function running effectively.

Success in the role means that tasks are completed accurately and on time, records are kept up to date, outstanding actions are actively followed up, resolved matters are closed efficiently and the legal team can rely on the administrator to take ownership of the processes allocated to them.

**We are looking for someone who enjoys being busy, learns quickly and takes satisfaction from keeping a large workload organised, accurate and moving forward.**
