**Role Description**
The Chief of Production at the AKRON Glass Solutions plant in Skopje oversees end-to-end production operations for glass abrasive, filter media, granulates, and powder additives. This full-time, on-site role based in Kisela Voda is responsible for planning and organizing production schedules, monitoring daily output, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. The position includes coordinating and guiding production teams, optimizing equipment utilization, and resolving operational issues to maintain continuous and efficient plant performance. The Chief of Production collaborates with management on budgeting and resource allocation, prepares production reports, and drives process improvements to support cost-effective and reliable delivery to customers.
**Qualifications**
- Strong production planning and production management skills, with experience organizing and controlling industrial manufacturing processes.
- Operations management capabilities, including process optimization, workflow design, and adherence to safety and quality requirements.
- Team management skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and coordinate diverse production staff in a high-paced environment.
- Budgeting skills, including monitoring production costs, managing resources, and supporting financial planning for the plant.
- Previous experience in manufacturing, industrial processing, or related fields; experience with glass, minerals, or bulk materials is an advantage.
- Practical knowledge of production equipment, maintenance coordination, and basic troubleshooting of machinery issues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (quality, logistics, maintenance, and management).
- Relevant technical or engineering education (e.g., mechanical, chemical, industrial engineering, or similar) is preferred.
