**Company Description**
Agela AI is an intelligence platform focused on turning complex data into clear, actionable decisions for organizations across industries. By unifying data engineering, advanced analytics, and AI, Agela AI helps clients move from fragmented information to scalable, transparent, and outcome-driven solutions. The company builds systems that simplify complexity, accelerate decision-making, and unlock measurable business value. Agela AI’s work ranges from enabling smarter financial decisions and powering advanced analytics to creating AI-driven products and decision systems. The core mission is to empower better decisions through intelligent, practical use of data.
**Role Description**
The Agentic AI Expert will design, build, and refine agentic AI systems that can autonomously plan, coordinate, and execute complex workflows using real-world data. In this contract, remote role, responsibilities include modeling decision processes, integrating AI agents with data pipelines and APIs, and optimizing agents for reliability, transparency, and real-world impact. The role involves close collaboration with data engineers, product teams, and domain experts to translate business requirements into robust agent architectures and evaluation frameworks. Day-to-day tasks include prototyping and testing agent behaviors, improving reasoning and tool-use capabilities, monitoring performance and safety, and documenting system design and best practices. The Agentic AI Expert will also contribute to internal standards for scalable deployment, observability, and ongoing improvement of agent-based solutions.
**Qualifications**
- Strong foundation in AI/ML and agentic systems, including experience with LLMs, tool-using agents, and multi-agent orchestration.
- Hands-on skills in software engineering and integration (e.g., Python, REST APIs, microservices, data pipelines, cloud platforms).
- Experience with data infrastructure and analytics, such as data modeling, ETL/ELT workflows, and working with structured and unstructured data.
- Capability in system design and experimentation, including designing evaluation frameworks, metrics, and iterative improvement processes.
- Proficiency in translating business problems into technical architectures and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI safety, reliability, and governance principles, including monitoring, guardrails, and transparency in decision-making.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document complex systems clearly and concisely.
- Experience working in remote, distributed teams and managing deliverables in a contract or project-based setting.
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Background in domains such as financial decision-making, analytics platforms, or AI product development is a plus.
